How to get engaged, according to Benjamin

We were driving home from school today and I overheard Benjamin telling Avery all about marriage proposals: "From what I understand, the guy goes out and spends money on a ring, then gets on one knee and says 'will you marry me?' the girl (9 times out of 10) says yes. She has to say yes or they can't. I'm pretty sure it has to be a mutual agreement."
When I asked where he'd gotten his information, he just shrugged and said "tv". Figures!!
