Benjamin's new glasses
Benjamin had been complaining of headaches for a while. I didn't think too much of them since my kids seem to over exaggerate every little cut and bruise. However when a note from his teacher came home with him, I started to worry. I asked him about being able to see the board at school, and he insisted he could, so off to the doctor we went. I didn't want to be really concerned, but I was. What else besides bad eyes would cause headaches in an 8 year old? I have to admit I was relieved when he failed his eye exam. So now I have a child with glasses, and I have to admit, he looks pretty cute with them on:

We got a Wii!!!
I never got this to post of Facebook, but it's too classic not to share. This was Christmas Eve when we wrapped up a game for each of the kids to a new Wii system that was the actual present. Avery of course did not understand, and it took Benjamin a few seconds to get it. When he first opened the gift he didn't see the Wii label and thought we got him yet another Tiger Woods golf game. His realization is priceless:
